Self-Proclaimed "Progressive" Legislators Demand Ceasefire, Ignore the Atrocities Committed by Hamas Against Israel

Here is a list of 13 self-proclaimed "progressives" who should be voted out of office as soon as possible: Cori Bush (MO-01), Rashida Tlaib (MI-12), André Carson (IN-07), Summer Lee (PA-12), Delia C. Ramirez (IL-03), Jamaal Bowman (NY-16), Bonnie Watson Coleman (NJ-12), Jesús “Chuy” García (IL-04), Jonathan Jackson (IL-01), Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (NY-14), Ilhan Omar (MN-05), Ayanna Pressley (MA-07), and Nydia Velázquez (NY-07)

Those are the sponsors/supporters of a House resolution calling for an immediate ceasefire without condemning Hamas' murderous attack on Israel or expressing any concern about the hostages Hamas is holding now (including American citizens): Left-wing congressional Democrats demand Israel agree to ceasefire in Gaza.

The media often tells us that certain people or political movements are "threats to our freedoms." I cannot think of any people in our government who are a greater threat to our freedoms and our way of life than the 13 people listed above.

Also note that many leftist groups support the resolution, including BLM, the Transgender Law Center, and the Council on American Islamic Relations. How ignorant does one have to be to think that supporting Hamas helps Blacks, transgender people, or Arabs? How much freedom do Blacks, transgender people, or Arabs have in the Arab/Muslim autocracies dotting the map from Morocco to Pakistan? These leftists hate Jews so much that they are willing to ignore all of the evils committed by Arab/Muslim autocracies! The scope of this ignorance and hatred is breathtaking. Anyone who (correctly) calls upon the Republican Party to condemn racists and conspiracy mongers in that party's ranks should also call upon the Democratic Party to condemn the antisemites in that party's ranks.

  1. This is extreme and quite unfortunate to put it mildly. Will be interesting to see how many get voted out next election. So correct that this boils down to nothing but Jewish hatred. It's interesting that Israel is the only country in the middle east to allow homosexuality so freely, regardless of anyone's stance on the issue. Do American LGBTQ people even realize this?

I don't quite understand what this resolution, even if passed, is supposed to accomplish. Would it be added pressure on Biden and our government to stop funding Israel and to try to force Israeli soldiers back to Israel? I wouldn't think this passed resolution would alter Israel's current path of invading Gaza and trying to destroy Hamas.

Also, with Lebanon attacking Israel now, at what point does Israel get support in the form of additional troops from other countries? Lebanon or Hezbollah is just free to fire on Israel it seems without much backlash.

Unfortunately, I think that these 13 Representatives have many antisemitic constituents who will vote them back into office. I am hopeful that even if their constituents are antisemitic they will eventually figure out that these 13 Representatives have accomplished nothing for America as a whole, and indeed are anti-American.

You are correct that Israel is the only country in the Mideast that has any of the freedoms that purportedly mean so much to self-proclaimed "progressives." That is why it is blatantly obvious that calling themselves "progressives" is just a smokescreen: they don't really care about BLM, transgender people, or any other cause nearly as much as they care about promoting antisemitism. Of course, antisemitism is a major part of the Marxist agenda, and Marxist thought forms the basis for the thoughts and actions of these self-proclaimed "progressives." Some people argue that modern socialists learned from the mistakes of the past and thus are promoting a kinder, gentler socialism, but it should be obvious that the self-proclaimed "progressives" have the same old Marxist agenda highlighted by antisemitism and by a fervent desire to take away our freedoms and destroy our free market economy.

Even if the resolution passes it is non-binding. It will have little to no effect on policy, but the self-proclaimed "progressives" want to let the world know just how much they hate Israel and just how much they support Hamas.

Keep in mind that these same self-proclaimed "progressives" try to ban from college campuses anyone who dares to speak a word that deviates from their extremely leftist ideology. The notion that the Federalist Society is a greater threat to our freedom than Hamas would be comical if it were not so sad (and dangerous).

  3. I suspect at least one of them won't be re-elected, but you're probably right that most of them will. The problem is that there's only 2 options in the end. For the most part, most people will always vote for the same party no matter who the candidates are. I hope that most or at least more Jews who vote liberal will stop doing that as much. Not that there isn't antisemitism in both parties, but there does seem to be a lot more on the liberal side and the Democratic party isn't as concerned with them as much.

I hope that none of them are re-elected and I agree that it looks like at least some of them may lose. You are right that unfortunately there are only two Party options. The Democratic Party has become increasingly hostile to Jews and Israel. The Republican Party is less hostile to Jews and Israel, but--at least recently--is unable to govern itself, let alone the country (as we can see with the fiasco involving the Speaker of the House).
